  • Meethi or fenugreek leaves – 2 cup
  • Cumin seeds
  • Mustard seeds
  • 1- Potato
  • 1- Tomato
  • 2 chopped garlic
  • Dry red chilies -2
  • ½ Turmeric powder
  • ½ Chili powder(optional)
  • ¼ asafetida (hing)
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste


Step 1

Break the methi leaves from the steams and wash them in running water and rinse. Now roughly chopped the methi leaves. Peel the skin of potato and chopped in small cube shape, chop 1 tomato in cube shape.

Step 2

Heat up a pan or kadai add or butter now add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and crackle them, add asafetida, dry red chili, chopped garlic and sauté for a minute. Now add potato and mixed it well and cook for 3-5 minutes till potato is half cooked. Now add chopped tomato, turmeric powder, chili powder and chopped methi leaves and mixed it well. Cook it for 5-6 minutes till methi starts leaving water.

Step 3

Now the Easy healthy and delicious aloo methi sabzi is ready to serve. Serve it with roti ,paratha or Dal rice.
