Rajasthani Dal Bafla/ Dal Bati Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 cup wheat floor
- 1 cup suji samolena
- 1 cup corn flour (optional)
- ½ cup curd
- Pinch of baking soda
- ½ tsp carom ajwain
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder
- 3 tsp Cooking oil /ghee
- Luke warm water to make dough
Method
Step 1
Take a big bowl add wheat flour, suji, corn floor , curd turmeric powder, baking soda, ajwaien, salt and cooking oil and make a tight dough using luke water. Gun guna pani. And keep them aside for 15-20 min
Step 2
Take medium chuck and make a round shape and press it from the thumb to make it like bati as shown in figure.
Step 3
Boil water in a pan and turmeric powder drain the bati in the boiled water and cook it till bafla start floating, taking it out from water and keep it on kitchen towel for 10-15 to make it dry. Now it the time to cook the bafla
Step 4
Heat up a gas oven on gas and put bafla in it and cover, change the bafla sides after some to make it cooked from both the side. Cook it till it is cooked or golden brown.
Step 5
You can bake it on microwave oven pre heated 170.c till it turns into golden brown. Now just press the bafla to make a small crack and drop it in a bowl filled of ghee and drain the extra ghee. Now the rajasthani bafla is ready to serve it with Dal. Read how to make Dal .
