Dal Bafla Dal Bafla is a dish that hails from the heart of India, that is, Madhya Pradesh. It is similar to the Rajasthani staple dal bati or the Bihari signature litti. The dish is essentially a ball of baked dough that is served with a side of zesty dal. The taste is a delicious blend of baked hard wheat soaked in dal.
Ingredients
- 3 cup Whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup Rava (sooji)
- ½ cup Besan (gram flour)
- 1 tablespoon Ajwain
- 1 pinch of Baking Soda
- ½ tablespoon Turmeric powder
- ½ tablespoon Turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon curd
- 3 tablespoon Oil
- 1 cup of Ghee
Method
Step 1
1- Take a big bowl to add whole wheat flour, Suji, and besan mix it well, now Add Ajwain, turmeric powder, baking soda and salt mix it. Add curd and oil.
2- Mix all ingredient well using your hands.
3- The mixture will turn crumbly.
4- Add water in small quantity and bind a soft dough.

Step 2
Divide dough in to 8 equal portion and make round shaped balls. Gently press each ball in between your thumb and flatten it into a thick pattie. Arrange them on a baking tray with a small gap around them.
Step 3
Place baking tray into the pre- heated oven and bake raw Baties for 10 min. in 180 degree centigrade.after 10 min. Take it out from oven. It’s cover has change into the brown colour. Flip each Bati upside-down to cook the other surface. Place baking tray in oven and bake for another 10 min. after 10 min. take the trayout from the oven.
Step 4
Take melted Ghee in a small bowl. Press and Dip each Bati in it and transfer to a plate.
