Kadai Paneer Recipes
2015-11-27If you want a quick but irresistible recipe or confused of coming of a sudden guests, then try this restaurant style delicious Kadai paneer recipe. It is a traditional Indian and Punjabi cuisine that will satiate your hunger pangs.
Ingredients
- 200 grams paneer cubed
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 1 Green bell pepper /capsicum diced
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Kasoori methi
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 2 cardamoms
- 1 bay leaf
- salt as per taste
- 3 tbsp oil
- For Kadai Masala:
- 1 tsp dry roast and crushed coriander seeds
- 1 tsp dry roast and crushed cumin seeds
- 2 nos of red chillies dry roast and coarsely crushed
Method
Step 1
1. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamoms and fry for few seconds. 2. Add chopped onions and fry till brown. 3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté it for few mins. 4. No add chopped tomatoes and cooked it until tomatoes are soft or mashed. Add diced Capsicum and again sauté it for few seconds. 5. Now, add all the masalas – crushed kadai masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lightly crushed kasoori methi and salt as required. Mix all the masalas well. 6. Add few tsp of water to the pan and cool until little consistency formed. 7. Now add paneer cubes and mix well. Cook it for 2-3 minutes. 8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
