Chick Peas Burritos with Chilli Cucumber Salsa and Plain Raita

Burritos and Salas are both dishes of International fame with no Indian connection. Why not tingle our taste buds and give these international dishes a Desi Masala twist and spice up your Brunch.
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- oil to cook
- 200 grams chick peas
- 1 big size onion chopped
- 1 big tomato chopped
- green chilly chopped
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 cucumber
- 2-3 red chilly
- 1 lemon
- Chaat Masala
- black salt/normal salt
- 1 cup curd
- chopped coriander leaves
Method
Step 1
ChickPeas Burritos: 1. Soak chickpeas overnight in water. 2. Boiled the soaked chickpeas with some salt and turmeric. 3. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and sauté the onion till golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté till oil comes out. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, chopped green chillies and tomatoes. Sauté all the ingredients until tomato soften. Add the chickpeas. 4. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, add a pinch of salt and little oil and mix all well. Add water and make a soft dough. 5. Make medium size balls from the dough and roll the ball in the palms of your hand. 6. Now, roll the dough ball in to flat round circle and give it a shape of roti. 7. Heat a pan and place the roti shaped burritos cover on the tawa and cook it. Flip it on the other side and cook that side too. Sprinkle some oil on the side of the burritos in the tawa and light fry from both sides. Remove from tawa. 8. Now stuff the chickpeas in the roti shaped burritos, cover and roll it. Your burritos are ready to eat.
Step 2
Chilli Cucumber Salsa: 1. Cut the cucumber into small dice. 2. In a medium bowl, mix the cucumber, chat masala, black salt, chopped red and green chillies and 3-4 drops of lemon. You can add chopped coriander leaves and mix it well. 3. Chilli cucumber salsa is ready to serve. You can also add plain Raita with this. To make the Raita, beat the curd in a bowl and mix little salt, chaat masala and a pinch of black pepper powder.
