Bengali Style Malpua


Delicious sweet Malpua can be enjoyed simple or with Rabri or khoya too. It can be prepared in different way with various ingredients. But the basic will always be semolina, milk and flour.


  • 2 Cups Milk
  • ½ Cup Semolina/ Sooji
  • 1 Cup Khoya
  • 4-5 Tbsp All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • oil for frying


Step 1

1. Boil the milk and add khoya into it. Mix it well and stir it continuously to make sure there will be no lumps.
2. Remove it from flame and let it cool a bit.
3. Now add semolina, flour, sugar, fennel seeds and cardamom powder. Now mix everything to make a smooth and lump free batter.
4. Now heat oil in a pan and add spoonful batter in the oil.
5. Fry it until both the sides will light brown.
6. Remove it from oil and place it on a paper towel. Do the same process with rest of the batter.
7. Your Malpua is ready to serve.
